Work associated with a program is generally defined and executed within the framework of a work breakdown structure which identifies the associated tasks and activities in a logical breakdown.

It includes the identification of required resources and the allocation, authorization, and control of work performed by these resources within set budgets.

Project Management and Object Management are synonyms for Program Management.
